Do these activities sound fun for a coed teen party?

Okay, so my Sweet 16 is coming up in about a month, and I plan to invite about 20 people- but half of them don't know each other. Some are louder than others, some are pretty shy, but everyone likes to have fun (without being crazy). How do these games sound?

*Icebreaker- “Find My Partner”*
Using computer mailing labels or masking tape, write out popular pairs, like celebrity couples. Stick one of the labels to someone's back and tell them they can only find out who is on their back by asking yes or no questions to others who can see their back. They can only answer yes or no questions about other's stickers. When they figure out who is on their back they should then go looking for their partner. First couple to find each other wins. Match up 2 people who don’t know each other.

*Newspaper Fashion Show*
Every group of two people receives a stack of newspaper and a roll of masking tape. They must create a dress/ outfit for one person in their team in the least amount of time possible. The winning team gets a prize.

*Human Knot*
A group of 8-16 people stand in a small circle facing each other. Everyone sticks their hands into the center of the circle and randomly grabs someone else's hand with each of their own hands. The objective of the game is to untangle this "human knot" without anyone letting go of a hand, ending up with one large circle (although sometimes, two separate or linked circles might be the end result).

*Balloon War*
Divide the balloons up evenly between the two teams. Each team tries to guard their balloons while taking the other teams balloons. The team that ends up with the most balloons after 5 minutes wins.

*Balloon Truth or Dare*
First write out ten truths and ten dares, one on each half card. Stick one card in each balloon carefully and then blow the balloon up. Start the game by taking turns picking a balloon. Each player takes turns popping their balloon and doing the truth or dare on the card.

*Dancing* – Good music

And in case the party starts to slow down, we can play Improv games like Freeze, Taboo, and the Questions game.

What do you guys think? Do you think this will keep everyone entertained?

that sounds like funn. :) i think that that will be fine, maybe, if you want something cool for refreshments mocktails etc. :)

E3 has just ended and some pretty amazing games were announced. Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait until 2010 for a lot of these games. But for the ones that will be released around Fall, which ones do you think will be the ones bought when shopping for holiday gifts?

what are some good grappling training games?

ones like wreslting were you have to get there socks any more.

I think one of the best things to do is just live rolling like at our martial arts school….either start from the ground on your knees or from standing and go a round with one person then change partners. its pretty basic and puts your techniques to the test. it also helps to start in postitions that put you in a disadvantage like mount or a near submission, hope this helps.

What are some fun games to play at teen birthday parties?

My sister is having a party and we have no idea what to do.
There is only four people coming, 2 girls, 2 boys (this includes me and my sister).
We are all between the ages 13 and 16.
Please no lame games.
Maybe some links.
um, i don't need links to game sites.. but thanks?

So it is only you, your sister and 2 boys. I would suggest a movie or some board games, since most party games are for more people

Any ideas for some games?

Im turning 14 this year and im having a Survivor party.About 10 people will be coming. Instead of teams it's going to be every man for himself with one winner at the end.

My birthday is in winter and I have no idea what the weather will be like. Any ideas on individual games we can play inside and outside?

well, I suggest this game but its probably more fun with 12+ players:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/25821

maybe a game where you all are given bubble wrap and who ever thinks they popped all the bubbles first wins. (the judge would make sure all the bubbles are popped)

survivor typically has endurance types games. you could all stand on a post or whatever

I love the survivor games with sling shots and plates…

darts against a board with balloons.. whoever pops the most?

closest to the pin type games (like horshoes or bean bags, whatever)

ever done an egg toss? two rows of people. after each throw and catch one row takes a step back. keep going until all the eggs have broken.

also balancing an egg held by a spoon in your mouth race

just some ideas. no one should be voted out, everyone should get to play every game but the top scorer is the ultimate survivor.

Table Tennis Training: Improving Your Game Through Proper Training

In every kind of game, you need to practice in order to improve. Just like table tennis, you have to train in order to elevate your game and have the advantage over your opponents. Many people thinks that table tennis is a simple game to play that will only require them to get the ball to the other side of the table. This may be true but the true essence of playing table tennis is by making the right decision in a very fast manner.

As soon as your opponent serves or as soon as your opponent returns the ball to your side of the table, you have to think of a strategy quickly in order to use the right swing, and strategically place the ball accurately on your opponent’s side of the table in order to work the ball to your advantage and let you prepare for a big finish.

Ball manipulation is a very important training in table tennis. You have to learn about the different swings involved in order to confuse your opponent and let them make a mistake by returning the ball to you with the wrong swing and provide you with a great drive.

In table tennis training, you will also learn how to recover from your mistakes. For example, if you offered a great ball to your opponent’s advantage, you have to prepare for the inevitable, which is the drive. In table tennis training, you will be able to know how to prepare for a big drive by reading your opponent’s swing. Depending on the position of their table tennis paddle and their body movements, you will be able to know what kind of swing they will be using against you. Through this, you will know if they are going to hit the ball with a spin, or if they are preparing to give you a powerful drive.

Low balls are also one of the difficult shots in table tennis. This kind of shot is where the ball dips and goes below the table. You have to know how you will be able to recover this seemingly impossible ball position as there are ways on how you can recover it and continue the game. With the proper table tennis training, you will be able to learn how to do this.

The service is considered to be one of the most important factors of the game. Usually, the service is the most advantageous position that you can ever be in. This is because you will be able to control the ball and also get your opponents to make a mistake early on in the game.

Basically, the most advantageous serves are serves that has spin in it in order to let your opponent reply with an easy ball that will help you reply with a more powerful swings, such as drives. Table tennis training will enable you to learn about the different kinds of serves, such as backspin serves, topspin serves and sidespin serves.

Ball manipulation helps a lot in table tennis. In your training, you will learn about how to manipulate the ball in order for your opponent to reply with mistakes that you can take advantage of.

So, if you want to improve your game in table tennis, try to get some training and work on the different strategies in order for you to have the advantage over your opponents and allow you to win more games.
