They currently play possibly one pre-season match and four home and away games but if they are really serious about wanting Tasmanians to give up on the hope of having their own team and encourage an extension of the corporate sponsorship from the Tasmanian government, isnt it about time that they made a bigger commitment to the Tasmanian people and played more than 4 games out of 22 (AFL approved)?
I wish Tasmania get their own team so the Hawks don’t have to play any games down there, I believe its unfair on Melbourne based Hawk fans to have to travel to Tassie to watch home games. But the deal with Tassie seems to be working ok at the moment and i would say about 5-6 regular season games seems fair.

I would count them as playing 4 games out of 11 in Tasmania rather than 22, as they are 4 home games. I am a member of Hawthorn and like most members as far as I know, am Victorian. It would really annoy me if we played more than 4 of our home games in Tassie.
Tasmanians shouldn’t give up the hope of having their own team, anyway. Much better than that ridiculous West Sydney idea.

I don’t think it would be fair to the Melbourne supporter base, if even more games were played in Tasmania. Don’t forget, travelling can hinder the team, and in order for Hawthorn to perform their best, they need to play as many games in Melbourne as possible.
As long as the team is winning, they will have support in Tasmania.

I said it elsewhere, relocate Hawthorn to Tasmania with its sponsor, the Tassie government. Solves the push for a team in Tasmania. But no gratuitious draft picks.
